Resonance: Music for Choir and Strings

Join the UC Alumni Chorus as we traverse the rich canon of music written for choir and strings, exploring the multifaceted interpretation of this compelling pairing. We will bring you enduring treasures, like Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus, and Beethoven's Elegischer Gesang; compelling and monumental works from Rosephanye Powell's With What Shall I Come? and David Conte's September Sun (in remembrance of those who perished on 9/11); and other exultant compositions for choir and strings. Featuring Circadian String Quartet, string orchestra, pianist Paul McCurdy, singers from the Sacred and Profane Chamber Chorus, and conducted by Rebecca Seeman, this concert celebrates the beauty found in collaboration.

Saturday, April 22nd - 3pm •  First Presbyterian Church - 2407 Dana Street, Berkeley, CA

Tickets available at the door or online via Eventbrite.
