UC Alumni Chorus Presents A “MASS-UP” Mash Up

The University of California Alumni Chorus presents A “MASS-UP: A Mash-up of Movements from the Great Masses, on Sunday, November 17 at 3 pm, in Hertz Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. The concert offers a seamless presentation of excerpts of masses by some of the world’s great composers through the centuries. Soprano Michele Kennedy, an Oakland native who recently made her at Carnegie Hall, is the featured soloist. Guest singers from the Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco, UC Berkeley’s Perfect Fifth, and the UC Men’s and Women’s Chorales will also performing with the chorus.

Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors (62+) and $10 for students. They can be purchased at Brown Paper Tickets or at the door.  

The UC Alumni Chorus is a thriving 100 member ensemble, composed of Cal Berkeley and UC alumni, faculty and staff. Led by Director Dr. Mark Sumner, the chorus performs a wide variety of music, ranging from 16th century chamber choral works to traditional folk music and 20th century musical theater.
